Lake Managua in Managua, Nicaragua.
We've been here for two days now. Thus far we've been learning the history and policies of the PC. We had language skill interviews which will determine which training community each volunteer will be placed in. Volunteers of the same language levels, in groups of 3 or 4 will be sent to homestays within the same community. From there we will hone our spanish skills, and continue with more training on a variety of topics in our smaller groups.
We currently are staying in a complex with dorms and conference rooms etc etc. After sessions we went for a short excursion around Managua, the capitol.
I'm not quite sure what to expect from the homestays, but I will find out here soon off!
This may be my last post for a while, as I may not have internet access.
Take care
Hazel
